Why We Started
As a circle of friends, we became concerned about the state of our non-activeness in our lives and felt that our lives were under threat.
We resolved to engage in physical exercise of any sort in order to change our lives. We started a WhatsApp group where each member was required to share their physical exercise/training sessions in order to encourage the rest of the group, and this has worked.
We have been running the roads, participating in races, under different clubs but behind the scenes, we have remained united and active.
Chillie Running Club, was born, registered with the Central Gauteng Athletics on the 2nd half of 2017.
In December 2018, Chillie Running Club registered with KwaZulu-Natal Athletics due to the overwhelming interest in that province.
Our Aim
- We aim to change the lifestyle of our members, families, friends and those around us for better.
- We will support each other with organized group runs.
- We will support each other through seconding at selected events.
- We will help each other reach their fitness goals through collective efforts and sharing of our experiences.
